WHAT IS MONOCOUCHE RENDER

BENEFITS OF MONOCOUCHE
There are many benefits of using monocouche render, some we have already covered above; the colour mixed in throughout the coat gives a decorative finish to the render, and this means that painting it is unnecessary, the colour will last for as long as the render does.
Another benefit of using monocouche is that it's durable and much less likely to crack, when the manufacturers guidelines are followed, this makes it a good addition to your home and property.
This render system has a quick setting time for render, and it is mostly dependent on the weather. Monocouche render has a time efficient method of application, because only one coat needs to be used, so in the winter months we will apply in the afternoon and come back the next day and rub the render to the desired texture .In the summer, we will apply in the morning where there's no direct sun light and rub up the same day. Not only that, but monocouche allows different finishes to the exterior, from trowel smoothed to spray textured.
The one coat render application is one of the best ways to protect your home from the elements. It provides a strong insulation layer, which protects from the damp and the weather, . As a result of that, your home becomes more energy efficient,
Should you want something long lasting, durable and easy to maintain, this is a very good option for you.

APPLYING THE SYSTEM
APPLYING MONOCOUCHE RENDER

Step 1 is preparing your exterior walls:
This involves ensuring they are clean and free from any loose debris, paint and algae. In some cases power washing is needed with chemicals to provide a clean and dirt free surface. Next a suitable primer will be applied dependant upon the different brick or block of your wall
Step 2 , we will then adhesively fix the 15mm beads to all the doors windows and any external angles to achieve a crisp sharp look.

Step 3, monocouche render comes in bags, ready to mix with water, before we apply this can be mixed by hand or by spraying the render. This system is a two pass process, the first pass is done as flat as possible to a depth of 10mm, we then inbred a mesh fibre cloth just laying under the surface. Once this is done, we will go back over with the second pass which is of a 6 to7 mm thickness, this which is then ruled flat (with a straight edge) but not pushed back to the beads. Once its completely dried it can be scraped back with an I bar (tool) to the beads which will achieve the desired finish.
